PAUL 7:55 Fri Oct 31 has got it spot on. If you've got kids the primary schools, staples rd etc are good, but the state secondary, roding valley not so great.
Victoria is my fav pub tho not sure the knocking down of the Royal Oak next door will affect it.
As mentioned, Epping is much better these days but if you commute, Epping and Abridge are a long way out.
Debden apart from the pie n mash shop is not great, UKIP ex NF territory.

Kelly's pie & mash shop on the broadway is the only reason I would go to Debden if I was in the area, there's only 2 pubs (Clydesdale & Cottage loaf) now that the Churchill's been demolished and neither are much cop, there is a 3rd pub in Chester road, the Gunmakers, but I think that's classed as being in Loughton.
